Sanctuary of St Mary's Church Hampstead

 
 

It all started when…

Abbé Jean Morel served as its first Parish Priest, having been forced to flee from France as a refugee in 1792 and becoming pastor to the local Catholic community in Hampstead in 1796. The little chapel of St Mary was completed in 1816 and was extended to the current church you see today by 1916. You can read more about the history of St Mary’s.

We welcome you to the webpage of the Roman Catholic Church of St Mary, Hampstead. Our Parish Priest is Monsignor Phelim Rowland.

SUNDAY SCHOOL AT ST MARY'S

Do you have a child at a non-Catholic School? Or do you just want to get your child to learn more about their faith along with children their own age. Sunday is a great discipline to get into and needs to be supported by families in the Parish to survive.

We have over 50 children annually involved in our Sunday school program called 'CCD', if you have a child aged 5-13 find out how they can get involved by clicking below:
