What is Confirmation?

Confirmation is one of the 7 Sacraments of the Catholic Church. Together with Baptism and Eucharist is makes up one saving event called ā€“ Christian Initiation. So whenever it is received, through the grace of the Holy Spirit, it completes and perfects the gift of the Spirit given at Baptism. Through the ancient symbols of of the laying on of hands and the oil of Chrism, the confirmand is given strength, through the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, to live what they were born to be ā€“ a disciple of Jesus Christ.

We will hold a meeting for parents and candidates on 15th October 2017 in church at 4pm.

What if Iā€™m not a Parishioner?

Once we have secured the numbers of Parishioners wanting to be on the course, we will open up the course to those from outside the Parish.

Those from outside the Parish who apply will be put on a waiting list and will be selected based on a few criteria, but mostly on a first come first serve basis. So, still apply if you need to.
