Dear Friends,

I hope you have had a good week. I imagine for many of you it will be time to return from holiday to reality. To those of you with important exams coming up, we will be praying for you.

I am delighted to say that Sister Alejandra and Mary will hold another faith-sharing session for teenagers. This time on 21st April (Sunday) at 16h30 here in our Parish room. It will be enjoyable and the snacks are good so please bring a friend and give it a go. This is especially important for those of you who were confirmed recently and those of you who wish to join our Confirmation group this year.

On 5th May we will have a May Procession after the 10h00 Family Mass. The congregation will process with our beautiful statue of Our Lady down to the bottom of Holly Place and back up to church where we will crown Our Lady with our pretty crown of white flowers. Please join us. It would be wonderful if children could wear white/light coloured clothes for this.

I need to now correct the date for our Pilgrimage to Rome next year for the Church’s Jubilee Year. It has been changed to coincide with Easter holidays so that families can attend. The dates are: 6-7th April 2025.

Lastly for those of you who are part of our very important planned giving, please note that we have your new envelopes so you can collect them when you’re next at Mass. If you’re not part of this scheme please join it! You can also join it online – without the need for envelopes and you can also gift aid which at no cost to you, gives St Mary’s even more very much needed funds.

I am off to Liverpool on Tuesday so our weekday Mass will be at 09h00 that day and there is no weekday Mass on Wednesday.

God bless,

Monsignor Phelim
